Tim Hall is a music artist, educator, and entrepreneur who loves jazz music and plays the saxophone; from Detroit MI, and have lived in Boston for seven years. Tim opens up about what sparked his interest in the music world, which was his encouraging and supportive family. "My father introduced a vast array of music and styles, giving me an entry point to music that stimulated my desire to play an instrument," Tim expresses, "my grandfather supported me in band camps and playing records from his collection of vinyls. During my first music class in 4th grade I decided to play the saxophone because of my dad's love of jazz music." He also added that listening to artists such as John Coltrane and Kirk Whalum opened his mind to the alto saxophone, and gave him a musical path to explore.
Tim shares his favorite experiences as being an artist, such as performing, and "seeing, hearing and feeling works impact on the audience," Tim continued, "to experience someone sharing how something I’ve made has touched them in a deep way is a type of human connection that gives me joy, hope, and validation as an artist." He is most proud of his song he produced with Cliff Notez called, Good Riddance. "This song helped to define my sound and pushed me to continue exploring my ear as a musician and producer," Tim shared. Tim Hall's message to his audience/supporters: "I’m finally in a place to share new music. The impact of COVID-19 has had a major impact on the process, but will be focused on pushing through.
