The SoulWoman, from New Orleans, Louisiana, officially started her music career in 2019, "but I have always been a musical individual." she added. She mentioned that the way she feels on the stage letting strangers see her heart, made her realize we need more of that raw honesty in the world. "I want to be that someone to give the people what they deserve, something real." While talking about her favorite pieces of her work, she said that she can’t choose one because they are all so different and each story is of equal value. Then we talked about her creative process involving hearing a beat or whatever instrument is being played and if she's feeling it, "it’s go mode."
SoulWoman's favorite part about being a music artist is being able to live in her truth and meet others that are on the same journey, aka her soul family. She wants her audience to know that they are worth it. "No matter what anyone says, no matter what happens or where life takes you, you are always 100% worth it. Just love yourself. I can’t stress that enough because once I started loving myself the magic from that love has been constant in my life ever since."
